The Depot Museum, located at 520 South Avenue, is in the 1907 headquarters of the Duluth & Iron Range Railroad, and highlights the early pioneering history of Lake County. Exhibits range from McDougal archeological dig artifacts and a Paleo-Indian display to the first shipment of Iron Ore from Minnesota and the vast logging companies from the turn of the 20th century.

The Veteran's Room
Memorabilia dating back to the Civil War, on loan and donated by veterans, are on display. A special veteran's wall has commemorative bricks purchased in the name of individual veterans. These veterans are honored with a memorial plaque on the brick inscribed with their name and their military service information.
